The space

BED & BATH

Enjoy a hotel-like experience in the peaceful, neutral bedroom. With a plush queen-sized bed and luxe bed linens, it’s hard not to enjoy a sleep-in. Within the room, find a mini fridge and microwave for simple meals when guests want a quick lunch to go. The en-suite bath was recently renovated for a sleek-modern look. Enjoy the use of fluffy, thick towels, a hair dryer and locally-sourced bath products.

AMENITIES

While everything is within an easy walking distance, for guests who prefer to stay-in for the evening, find the convenience of a flat screen tv for a movie night in bed. Or, for those on a business trip, feel free to catch up on an evening of work with high-speed internet access.

Guest access

You'll have exclusive access to the private guest suite of our property during your stay. You have your own exterior entrance.
Please note that we live in the main section of the house. The connecting door will be locked at all times.
You will share the driveway with us. The backyard belongs to the main house section of the property and will be utilized by me, my children, and our dog.
Kindly note that guests do not have access to any of the sheds on the property.

House Rules

- Quiet time is from 11pm - 7 am
- No smoking on the deck, balconies, or inside the property/unit
- No pets (unless you are in a pet friendly unit)
- No parties
- No sports equipment inside the unit
- Do not track mud, coal, or any work-related mess into the unit. Furthermore, please do not bring work materials or supplies into the property. Instead use allocated storage locations

Please note, a fine of up to $1000 will be issued, and you could be asked to vacate if the house rules are not obeyed. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

COAL/ DIRT SURCHARGE: - A minimum of $50/hr will be charged if carpets are found to be coal/ dirt stained and require to get steam cleaned. - Please be advised that there will be a minimum surcharge of $150 per bedroom if the laundry is stained beyond recovery and/or the unit is found excessively dirty.

Please note, to help reduce the risk of staining, dark laundry can be requested prior to arrival at no extra cost.

Stephanie’s place was a great find and perfectly centrally located. The bed is super comfortable, lovely setup and is certainly a great deal. Located in one of the best rural towns in BC with easy walking to downtown. Definitely recommend.

The location was exactly what we were looking for. We were visiting family and wanted somewhere to lay our heads at night that was comfortable and affordable. It’s a walkable distance to most restaurants and the downtown area. Not too many frills or extras to expect. We would have liked some glassware to use but there is a store nearby where we were able to purchase. All in all, good value and a simple place to stay if only needing a little space. We would definitely rely rent here again on our next visit to Fernie

What you see is what you get. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and the property is easy to find and walkable to restaurants downtown. However, we were unable to adjust the air conditioning as the air in the room was still and warm. Luckily the windows can be opened and had insect screens.

Stephanie’s place was great, it was in perfect proximity off the main road and easy to find late at night. There is clear signage on property of which gate/door to use. The instructions were detailed and easy to follow. It was clean and a great place to stay for one night.

My experience with Stephanie as host was stellar. - warm and friendly communications - clear and accurate Instructions - immediate responses to messages - very quick resolution to a power outage caused by a tripped breaker in a panel outside the unit - regular checkup messages before, during, and after my stay I highly recommend Stephanie as a host!

Nice place to sleep, not a lot of stuff or space to do anything. you can hear the family living in the house quite a lot so sometimes it does not feel too private. but only to sleep it is great

This location for this Airbnb is perfect, and great to exploring! Gus the dog is adorable!! Parking was easy, check in was easy and overall the price point is good. The only drawback is similar to what others have mentioned, the door to the main accommodation is very thin so we could hear every movement so it is not private. Also a kettle for hot drinks would have been a nice addition. Overall, a great place to stay to see Fernie overall and very clean! Comfy bed too! Thank you!

A good place to stay. Worth the price. The walls are a bit thin though so it is difficult to move around freely (especially if you are an early riser) without disturbing the other people in the house.

We stayed for a little over a month and although it was a tight squeeze we managed perfectly! The room is super close to the main street in Fernie, about a 5 minute walk, and the shuttle bus stop to the ski resort is also in walkable distance, which made this place perfect for us! Stephanie was extremely helpful and very quick to respond to our needs. An added bonus was the gorgeous pup, Gus, who made our stay that much more enjoyable!

The place was as advertised. I was in town visiting friends so I only needed a place to lay my head at night. The room was clean and great location. It’s an older home and with that comes the squeaky floors and the thin walls, but I was on my own and I’m a good sleeper so it didn’t bother me. I would recommend it to others for good value in a great location.

Stephanie’s place was overall really great, very good location for exploring the main area of Fernie on foot. The only small complaint is basically echoing what others have said about the thin walls, but by no means is it a deal breaker and I would definitely recommend staying at her place!

Clean and good location but as others have said I wouldn’t stay there if you are more than 1 person because the walls are so thin. I also moved in to a house around the corner and couldn’t move in until 1030am. I asked if I could extend the check out time or just leave my bags for 30 mins and my options were to either pay another night and no bag storage. I’m by myself in a new town and had to just wait on the street with my stuff. Besides that it was fine.

Nice space- small but clean and comfy. Only downside was the walls were very thin. You can hear everything happening in the main part of the house, and they can hear you. Probably fine if you’re staying alone, but a bit problematic if you’re staying there with two people.

I am local to Fernie, but I booked this for a visiting family member. The location is absolutely ideal for walkability to restaurants, historic downtown, and even a park nearby with some green space and a great playground. The space is just as described and pictured. It has been recently updated, is clean, uncluttered, and well appointed. Clear instructions for everything, and my family member was very comfortable there in their own space to unwind. The Superhog connection was new territory, but since it wasn’t actually me staying- I thought the host would be more comfortable with my voluntary participation in the program- and it all went smoothly from deposit to refunded deposit. Our only disappointed was that we didn’t cross paths with the charming dog everyone else raved about in their reviews! I will definitely book again for, or recommend to anyone visiting Fernie.

Marcie's place is cosy but was big enough for my partner and I for a few nights in Fernie. Great location, just a few minutes walk from downtown. Clear instructions to find the property and get inside with the key pad. I was a little confused by the Superhog texts asking for a deposit but as an Airbnb client you can just ignore them. As others said, the walls are thin and you can hear everything the family get up to in the house, didn't bother us too much but it doesn't feel very private and maybe less so in the summer if the family are in the yard. They have a lovely Bernese dog that roams the garden but never caused us any issues and was friendly. The layout is a tad annoying as you have to walk past the entrance to get between the bedroom and the bathroom, we found ourselves getting gritty feet even when we took our shoes off when we entered. All in all though a great little spot for the money!

Marcie was a great host! Had a tough time finding the place and hard time getting in to the correct place but Marcie was quick to respond and help out. The accommodations where a little bit smaller than I expected but super cozy. The bed could use replacement and maybe bring ear plugs because of the upstairs neighbors but other than that it was great! Location is amazing!
